A date passes when Venus and Jupiter are both visible, and not within three days either side of their setting; the lunar month is Magha, Phalguna, Vaishakha, Jyeshtha, Kartika or Margashirsha, and not an adhika month; the day is not a Tuesday or a Sunday; and the Moon is in Rohini, Mrigashira, Uttara Phalguni, Chitra, Anuradha, Uttarashadha, Uttara Bhadrapada or Revati during a favorable tithi. The timing is the span when both hold, at least five minutes long.
Times are local to Nagpur. A day runs from sunrise to sunrise, so a window after midnight belongs to the date above it.
